Abstract

Indonesia memiliki banyak suku etnis diantaranya adalah elnis Minahasa. dengan beragam adat istiadatnya termasuk kebiasaan makan. Elnis Minahasa mempunyai kebiasaan makan yang cukup unik dengan beragam makanan khas yang sebagian besar diduga mengandung asam lemak jenuh tinggi. Sulawesi Utara merupakan salah satu daerah yang tinggi angka kematiannya akibat PJK. Dilakukan survey kebiasaan makan terhadap 528 etnis Minahasa di Kabupaten/Kota Provinsi Sulut. Jenis makanan yang sering dikonsumsi adalah 'babi garo rica ' (97%), ikan laut wokublanga (95%), tinorangsak (93%), babi kecap (91%), babi pular (79%), babi hulan (72%) RW(anjing) (70%)) sedangkan jenis sayuran seperli tinutuan (90%).
