Abstract
Pedofilia adalah orang dewasa yang berulangkali melakukan tindakan seksual dengan anak prepubertas. Prevalensi pedofilia sulit ditentukan karena banyak kasus tak tercatat. Statistik sulit diinterpretasikan karena pelecehan seksual pada anak-anak dicatat dalam berbagai kategori yang berbeda, mencakup turut serta dalam menyebabkan kenakalan pada anak (contributing to the delinquency of a juvenille), penyerangan fisik terhadap anak (indecencies with children),penyerangan seksual (indecent assault),lewd conduct, dan frase serupa lainnya.
